Twilio.org Impact Fund

Twilio.org supports nonprofits and social enterprises that are accelerating impact through innovative communications technologies. We focus our funding on platforms and strategies that make it easier, faster, and more affordable for organizations to connect with the people they serve.

As part of the Pledge 1% movement, we’ve committed 1% of our company equity to fund Twilio.org for 10 years.

Partnership for Drug-Free Kids

Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, which has recently merged with Center on Addiction, provides families with the tools they need to take effective action for their child’s addiction.

Lesbians Who Tech

Lesbians Who Tech increases representation of queer and gender nonconforming persons in the tech community with their annual conferences, local events, mentorship, and scholarship programs.

Democracy Works

Democracy Works ensures that everyone has the opportunity to vote, by building the tools needed to upgrade the infrastructure of our democracy and improve the voting experience for voters and election officials alike.

Grants

We provide grants for nonprofits up to $150,000, with grant cycles occurring annually. We support organizations with communications strategies that make it easier for people to access services, engage with communities, or use technology to address urgent communications needs. In addition, a portion of our funding supports organizations that help adults from underrepresented communities become developers.

Social enterprise investments

Our investments in social enterprises range from $50,000 to $250,000, and we focus our funding on seed or Series A funding rounds. Twilio.org has partnered with impact venture firms including Omidyar Network, Kapor Capital, Village Capital and Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, as well as Fast Forward Accelerator and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
